Berne

Berne is located in Adams County south of Fort Wayne along Highway 27 on the banks of the Wabash River near the Indiana/Ohio border and Limberlost State Historic Site.

Berne was settled in 1852 and platted in 1871. Berne was named for the capital of Switzerland.

Berne is part of the Fort Wayne, Indiana metro area.
