Brown County Art Gallery Association |
The Brown County Art Gallery is composed of six gallery rooms - The Great Hall, North, South, and the two East Galleries comprise the Brown County Museum of Art, consisting of a permanent collection museum and the Henshaw Gallery. The Gallery also features the Steininger Memorial Room, for resale of old art. The Henshaw Memorial Gallery displays a collection of his oils and pastels, which are shown on a rotating basis. The permanent Museum Room exhibits from the gallery's own collection of paintings and these displays are changed periodically. Many works in the collection are memorials to past members, and other early Indiana artists, which have been presented to the Brown County Art Gallery. The Great Hall, North, South and East Galleries are used for seasonal exhibits, artist member solo exhibits and other special events.
