Hayes Regional Arboretum

The 355-acre Arboretum is a repository for the native wild plants indigenous to Wayne county and the counties of the Whitewater Valley Drainage Basin. The area features a 40 acre beech maple forest, a wild bird sanctuary, a 10 acre arboretum collection of native woody plants, three self-guiding nature trails, a 3.5 mile driving tour route and a variety of family weekend programs. The Arboretum is open free to the public. The Arboretum is both an educational facility and a managed nature preserve.
