Ball Memorial Hospital is the flagship of Cardinal Health System. The hospital serves as a tertiary referral center and teaching hospital for East Central Indiana. Ball Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
Their 225-member clinical staff represents more than 50 specialties of medicine. From a dedicated MRI center to one of the best equipped laboratories in the Midwest, Ball Hospital offers a high level of sophisticated medical technology. Members of the clinical staff perform a variety of laser surgery procedures, and the hospital is a regional center for open heart surgery.
Active in medical education, Ball Hospital provides internships and residency programs in internal medicine, family practice and pathology, a transitional year program and fellowships in sports medicine. Ball Hospital also maintains a close affiliation with the Indiana School of Medicine as a satellite center for first and second year students.
