Monticello Indiana

Monticello is located in White County (of which it is the county seat) west of Logansport along US Highway 24 on the banks of Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman.

Monticello offers many recreational activities to satisfy every desire and is terrific for weekend getaways. Enjoy fishing, spending a day golfing, renting watercrafts to enjoy the lakes, and visiting the beaches or sandbars are only a few of fun activities offered.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 5,510, an increase of 273 since 1990.
