Once a draper's shop, the museum was opened in 1988 and houses a mixed local history collection. Exhibits range from the original headstone of David Herbison (1800-80), 'Bard of Dunclug' and leading poet of the Mid-Antrim Rhyming Weavers, to a collection of items relating to the former Flamingo Ballroom in Ballymena, where stars like Jim Reeves, Roy Orbison and even the Rolling Stones once played to enthusiastic audiences.
