The Gallery opened in 1908 with a considerable collection of works by Irish and continental artists, including the Impressionists. In 1993, the collection moved to its present location in the 18th century Charlemont House, Parnell Square, where it has built up the most representative collection of 20th century Irish art, including contemporary art, as well as a comprehensive range of international artworks. Open Tues to Fri: 9:30 am 6:00 pm, Sat 9:30 am 5:00 pm. Sun 11:00 am 5:00 pm, Closed Mondays. The Gallery Restaurant and Bookshop are open within gallery hours.
