Londonderry

Londonderry, located in County Londonderry County, is the second largest city in Northern Ireland after Belfast. This seaport lies 64 miles northwest of Belfast on the River Foyle, just as it reaches Lough Foyle. The city's mile-long wall, built in 1609, helped defend the city against James II in 1689. Modern Londonderry now extends far beyond the walls of the old town.
