The River Suir is the main artery of
County Tipperary. It rises in that county and flows south to the border with
County Waterford, where it bends northeast past
Clonmel and then east past Carrick-on-Suir and
Waterford and joins the Barrow with the Nore in Waterford Harbour. Its total length is about 100 miles.
