Bird City Kansas

Located in the Northwest Region, in Cheyenne County, (The "Corner" county). Pop.

This town is not near anything, but in the middle of the prairie grass of the "High Plains" of NW Kansas. The South fork of the Republican River flows to the northeast through the county.

Founded in 1885, Bird City has a population of 467. Bird City is located in far Northwest Kansas on U.S. Highway 36. A small rural community, Bird City is the ideal place to relax. Recreational facilities of Bird City include a city park, basketball and tennis courts, as well as a swimming pool. Located approximately 3 miles north of town is the golf course.
