Elk City State Park |
Located in the Osage Questas of southeastern Kansas, this state park has over 857 acres and offers modern and primative campsites, picnicking, group shelters, trails, playgrounds, handicap accessible fishing dock, boating facilities, and wildlife viewing areas. The Table Mound, a limestone bluff, makes up a part of the interesting landscape. The area is well known for its diverse trail systems, the Eagle Rock Mountain Bike Trail, The Post-Oak & Green Thumb Nature trails. The State Park area is located on the east shore of Elk City Lake which contains over 4500 acres of water and 12000 acres of wildlife, area with most of it utilized for public hunting.
