Kansas State Fair

Each year, over 400,000 visitors flock to the Kansas State Fair to visit a wide array of exhibits, partake in fabulous Fair food, and see the amazing butter sculpture. For many, the experience began at a young age, either as a 4-H exhibitor, a participant in Kansas' Largest Classroom, or as a family vacation. Long-term relationships have been established, first kisses have occurred, and blue ribbons have been awarded. These events have established the Kansas State Fair as an event that is the pride of all Kansans.

To give you an idea of how massive the Kansas State Fair as become in the time since the first ever was held in 1873, the Fair's Physical Plant is comprised of 280 acres, that includes nearly 160 acres of unpaved auto parking. The balance of the f airgrounds, 120 acres, contains nearly 100 buildings that have 20 plus acres under roof.
