Atchison Hospital

Atchison Hospital, founded in 1912, is a 96 bed licensed non profit, acute care hospital with a 34 bed long term care facility. Located on the Missouri river, approximately 25 minutes north of KCI airport, the hospital provides primary healthcare for Atchison, Brown, Doniphan, and Jefferson counties in Kansas and Buchanan and Platte counties in Missouri through a network of five satellite clinics located in the communities of Atchison, Effingham, Highland, Nortonville, and Troy, Kansas, and Weston, Missouri.

An active staff of 21 physicians provide care in the areas of family practice with obstetrics, gynecology, general, thoracic and out-patient surgery, anesthesiology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, radiology, senior behavioral health, and orthopaedics and sports medicine. Other hospital services include 24-hour emergency care and ambulance service, an intensive care unit, Home Health and Hospice services.
