Neosho River Drainage Basin

Located in both the South Central Region and Southeast Region of Kansas, running to the east and southeast and comprised primarily of eleven counties. The counties are; Marion County, Morris County, Chase County, Lyon County, Coffey County, Woodson County, Allen County, Neosho County, Labette County, Crawford County, Cherokee County.

The minor river basins or watersheds in the Neosho River Drainage Basin are comprised of the Cottonwood, Neosho River, also known as the Grand (Neosho) River, (in Oklahoma), and Spring rivers. Most rivers have more than one branch. This basin also includes the historical Council Grove.
