Moundridge Public Library, serving an area of 1,610 residents, has a collection of 17,600 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 115 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 460 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $9,600. Patrons make 19,800 visits annually, and check out materials 31,000 times. Fifty-two percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
