Located on South 2nd Street, this is the site where Kentucky's first constitution was framed and adopted in 1792. Log cabins at the site help trace Kentucky's road to statehood. Grayson's Tavern and the first post office building west of the Alleghenies still stand in the square. Also in the square are replicas of the courthouse; Governors Circle, a memorial to Kentucky's Governors; a jail; and a meetinghouse. Guided tours are available by appointment. Picnicking is permitted.
Open 9am-dusk. Visitors center open Monday through Friday 9am-5:30pm, Saturday 10am-4pm, Sunday 1pm-5pm.
