Located on South Third Street, this club was named for John Filson, who in 1784 published the first history of Kentucky. The club is said to be the oldest historical society in the state. Its more than 50,000 item collection of Kentuckiana includes a tree stump inscribed by Daniel Boone. A self-guiding tour of the early 19th century building is available.
Open Monday through Friday 10am-4pm.
