Located approximately 7 miles from his birthplace, this reconstructed cabin occupies the site where Lincoln lived 1811-16. The 228-acre Knob Creek Farm was the home of the future President until he was 8 years old and his last home in Kentucky; many of his later recollections were of his childhood here, including the baby brother who was born and died on the farm.
The cabin is furnished with relics from early settlers of Knob Creek; a museum and pavilion, which is available for public rental, are also included on the site. Guided tours are offered. Open daily April 1 through November 1.
