Across the street from the General Motors Corvette Assembly Plant, this museum houses one of the original 300 Corvettes built in 1953 and the 1 millionth Corvette produced. The Corvette was introduced at the General Motors 'Motorama' show in New York City in 1953. Since that time, new models like the Sting Ray have been introduced. The Corvette was selected to be the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car in 1978 and 1998.
