This beautiful 503-acre park is situated on a high bluff overlooking scenic Bayoy Bartholomew along an old Indian trail once used for seasonal migrations. Chemin-a-Haut is French for "high road." The park is a natural paradise for lovers of unspoiled beauty. Excellent camping facilities and picnic areas exist in a mature pine and mixed hardwood forest setting. The park offers 26 improved campsites, 14 vacation cabins, a group camp, one large playground, an Olympic swimming pool and a bathhouse. Picnic tables and grills, three pavilions and a conference room are also available. There is also a hard-surface trail, designed for strollers and wheelchairs.
