This magnificent formal estate garden has several thousand flowering plants providing color for all seasons. The garden is richly embelished with seven water features and fine pieces of art selected from throughout the world. The garden unveils its many secrets through various themes and seasonal plant displays as the visitor strolls along the winding paths that link the various areas. The visitor's experience is furthur enriched by the sound of background music, which is triggered by lasers placed in key locations. Elsong ("Emy-Lou's Song") consists of a series of gardens. The grand, formal Center Court Garden includes a magnificent fountain display and five cast-iron statues, each weighing more than 1,700 pounds. Over two centuries old and cast in England, the statues were shipped to New Orleans before the Civil War. The Italian Garden, with its Minstrel Gallery and marble statuary white flowering plants.
