Homer

Homer is located in Claiborne Parish (of which it is the parish seat) within the Sportsman's Paradise Region northeast of Shreveport, between Minden and Haynesville along U.S. Highway 79 near Lake Clairborne and Bayou D'Arbonne.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 3,905, a decrease of 247 since 1990.
