Larose is located in Lafourche Parish within the Cajun Country Region, east of Houma between Thibodaux and Cut Off along Highway 308 on the banks of the Bayou Lafourche River near Lake de Cade, Pointe-au-Chein Wildlife Management Area and the Intercoastal Waterway.
