Established in 1965, this is a state supported, primarily commuter institution offering undergraduate and graduate programs through the colleges of liberal arts, business, education and sciences. There are 4 undergraduate and 4 graduate schools. The 200 acre campus is in an urban area 7 miles south of downtown Shreveport. Including residence halls, there are 18 buildings. Fraternities, sororities and over 50 clubs and organizations are on campus. Tours are available.
