E. A. Conway Medical Center is a modern, tertiary care facility that provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services. Since originally opening in 1941, Conway has emerged as a leading provider of medical care in Louisiana's eleven northeastern parishes.
As part of the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, and through the opportunities created by a large service population (approximately 350,000), Conway has developed into one of the best equipped, staffed and administered hospitals in northeast Louisiana. It is licensed for 252 beds, including an Intensive Care Unit, a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and an inpatient unit for acute psychiatric care. Inpatient services include Family Medicine, Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Ophthalmology, and Psychiatry.
