River West Medical Center is a 123-bed, acute and emergency care facility, located 16 miles south of Baton Rouge. Since 1984, River West Medical Center has been providing care to Iverville Parish and its surrounding areas with specialty services such as: 24-hour emergency care, state-of-the-art radiology providing radiography, mammography, ultrasound, CT scans, nuclear medicine, portable radiology and MRI.

The River West surgical department provides care for patients in general surgery, orthopedics, urology, eye, gastroenterology, thoracic, ear, nose and throat, vascular and podiatry. Recently remodeled, the maternal child health unit provides around-the-clock obstetrical care, physician referrals, pre-admissions and outpatient testing. Other services include: a 24-hour laboratory, home health services, ICU, cardio-diagnostics offering EKG, holter monitoring, stress testing and thallium stress testing.
