The Shadows-on-the-Teche is located in
New Iberia's historic district, overlooking Bayou Teche. It is a restored 1834 sugar plantation home built by David Weeks. It is the only National Trust Historic Home Museum and Gardens in the state of Louisiana and is one of the most famous antebellum houses in the south.
