UL Lafayette is Louisiana's second largest university. It is the home of more than 16,000 students enrolled in a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. Students hail from all 50 U.S. states and more than 100 foreign countries. It is also home of the National Wetlands Research Center and the National Marine Fisheries Services facility. Work has begun on the $14 million renovations and expansion of the Edith Garland Dupr Library. UL Lafayette's primary campus covers 137 acres. The athletic complex and Cajundome account for 243 additional acres while University Research Park covers 148 acres and the Equine Center consists of 100 acres.
