The Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center shares the history of the Acadians who settled along the bayous and in the swamps and wetlands of southeastern Louisiana. Their origins, migration, settlement, and contemporary culture are explored. It has history and culture of the Cajuns from 1600s to the present. Craft demonstrations, videotape and film presentations also are offered.
