The commune of Colmar-Berg, population 1,709, is located near the geographic center of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, at the confluence of the Alzette and the Attert Rivers. Berg lies to the west of the Attert, and Colmar to the east. The E42/N7 roadway, running parallel to the Attert for a while, also divides the two boroughs.The royal residence of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg is located in Colmar-Berg. The Goodyear Tire factory, the second largest employer in the Grand Duchy, is also located there.
