Luxembourg and Germany share a large nature reserve, which includes much of the
Ardennes forest region. Established in 1964, it was the first trans-frontier natural park in Europe. The park is known as a hikers paradise. Much of
Little Switzerland is actually part of the Germano-Luxembourg Nature Reserve, as are parts of
Echternach,
Vianden,
Clervaux, the
Sure Valley and the
Our Valley.
