A clock tower is the landmark for Abbot Hall, where visitors can see the 1684 deed recording the purchase of the peninsula from the Indians and the original "Spirit of '76", painted in 1876 by Archibald M. Willard. This famous painting of the drummer, drummer boy and the fife player symbolize the period of the American Revolution.
Abbot Hall also shares its space with the town offices and the Historical Commission
