The museum is a replica of the trading post built on this site in 1627, thought to be the first such establishment on the continent. Exhibits include 17th-century furnishings and Pilgrim, Dutch and Indian relics. The Grounds host President Grover Cleveland's private railroad station, an old windmill, saltworks and an herb garden.
