Situated on a 132-acre campus on the Charles River in Boston's Back Bay, Boston University is a private institution with both undergraduate and graduate programs. Only around half of the undergraduate applicants are accepted. The full-time undergraduate student body numbers around 16,000 and there are more than 10,000 graduate students. Popular undergraduate majors include social sciences, business and management, and communications. Boston University is not related to Boston College.
