Charles Hayden Planetarium

Located in Science Park, this planetarium presents shows about the stars, planets and other phenomena of the universe, utilizing an interactive audience-response system. Each ergonomic seat has a three- button key pad mounted on the armrest which allows audiences to interact with the programs. This Audience Response System is an integral component of planetarium shows and contributes to the dynamic, participatory feel of the planetarium experience. Red maplights are also mounted in the armrests, enabling visitors to read star charts or take notes without disrupting their dark-adapted vision.
