Concord

Concord is in Middlesex County 25 miles northwest of Boston off Highway 2 near Minute Man National Historical Park. Concord is part of the Boston, Massachusetts-New Hampshire metro area.

Named as a symbol of the friendship between settlers and local Indians, Concord is a small town of national historic importance as well as a center of the American 19th century literary renaissance. Concord inspired Emerson, Hawthorne and Thoreau. Concord can proudly point to the North Bridge and Wayside, and to Walden Pond State Reservation, Emerson House, Old Manse, and Orchard House.
