Davis Museum and Cultural Center |
The Wellesley College Davis Museum was founded in 1889 in the Farnsworth Art Building. In 1993 the museum moved into a newer building designed by Rafael Moneo, and was named Davis after its principal donors. This museum offers indoor exhibits of many different art media. Visitors can enjoy a number of outdoor sculptures, botanical gardens, and an arboretum. Its exhibitions and programs serve both the campus community and the public, and are known for their innovations and fresh approach to art.
