Located on East St., this house was built in 1636 and is one of the oldest wooden frame houses in North America. Inhabited by the Fairbanks family until the beginning of the 20th century, the house contains furniture, textiles and other objects that belonged to the family. Guided tours discuss life in New England during the first three centuries of European habitation. Tours are given Tuesday - Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 1pm-5pm in May through October.
