Gibson House Museum |
Built in the middle of the 19th century, the Gibson House is the unspoiled residence of a well-to-do Victorian Boston family. It has retained its kitchen, scullery, butler's pantry, and bathrooms, as well as formal rooms and personal quarters, all filled with the Gibsons' original furniture and personal possessions.
The Gibson House is a private, non-profit house museum in an 1859 Boston brownstone with Victorian furnishings. It is located in Boston's historic Back Bay neighborhood.
Guided tours are conducted Wednesday - Sunday at 1, 2, and 3 in May through October; Saturday and Sunday at 1,2,and 3 the rest of the year. Closed January 1, Thanksgiving and December 25.
