Less than an hour north of
Boston, Harold Parker is one of four state forests in a chain of woodlands that cross northeastern Massachusetts. Forest roads skirt ponds, archaeological sites and historic stone walls now overrun by the forest. Campsites, picnic facilities and designated fishing, swimming, and boating areas can be found within the park.
