Founded in 1936, the Hovey Players is Waltham 's Community Theater. Located in the basement of the D'Angio Building in Waltham, the 52-seat Abbott Memorial Theater is the most intimate performance space in New England. They present 5 to 6 major events per season featuring a full range of plays including comedy, drama and musicals. Since they formed as a group, Hovey Players has put on more than 300 productions.
