Founded in 1866, Peabody Museum is one of the oldest museums in the world devoted to anthropology and houses one of the most comprehensive records of human cultural history in the Western Hemisphere. The museum engages in ongoing anthropological discourse through exhibitions, workshops, symposia, and publications. The museum serves a wide public audience through educational programs developed in collaboration with Harvard’s Museum of Natural History; the Peabody also serves a wide public audience.
