Located in Devlin Hall on the campus of Boston College, the McMullen Museum of Art was dedicated in 1996 and aims to increase understanding of the visual arts, and serves as an educational resource for the entire community. The museum hosts traveling exhibitions and can also show larger pieces of art due to the two-story wall in the main gallery.

The museum specializes in art from Europe, Asia and the Americas, including Gothic and Baroque tapestries, 16th and 17th century Italian paintings, Japanese prints, and more. Art from the Gothic and Byzantine influences on Italian Renaissance Art is also periodically featured, borrowed from the Mt Holyoke College Art Museum Collection.
