Caritas Carney Hospital is a 197-bed community teaching hospital serving Dorchester and surrounding communities since 1863. It is also a teaching hospital for Tufts University School of Medicine.
Caritas Carney Hospital is a member of Caritas Christi Health Care, the second largest health care system in New England. The Hospital's connection with Tufts-New England Medical Center helped establish a partnership with Boston's Floating Hospital for Children, which enhances the pediatric care it offers patients.
