Northern Essex is a public, two-year college that offers comprehensive programs of study leading to the Associate in Arts degree, the Associate in Science degree and Certificates of program completion. The mission of Northern Essex Community College is to serve the people of the Greater Merrimack Valley. Major campuses are at Haverhill and Lawrence. Sharp increases in enrollment brought extension campuses to Andover, Newburyport and Methuen as well as to Haverhill and Lawrence. The college enrollment exceeds 15,000.
