Quincy is located in Norfolk County just S of Boston along Interstate 93. As the birthplace of the constitution of Massachusetts, as well as of John Adams and John Quincy Adams, Quincy has assured its prominence in American history. The city also was the birthplace of John Hancock, the president of the Continental Congress. Quincy is part of the Boston, Massachusetts-New Hampshire metro area.
