The Robert S. Peabody Museum of Archaeology is a repository of information where American history stretches back more than 12,000 years, a laboratory for active scientific inquiry, and a center for exploring ideas of community, culture and craft. The collections, focusing on the American Indian cultures of North America, include more than 700,000 artifacts from Paleo-Indian to the present day.
