Founded in 1875, Worcester Historical Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting Worcester's history. Among its achievements, Worcester claims barbed wire, the monkey wrench, smiley face, and the space suit among its discoveries and creations. The museum highlights the city's industrial accomplishments and community history through changing exhibits and programs. A research library also is featured.
Museum open Tuesday - Saturday 10am-4pm, Sunday 1pm-4pm. Library open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm; closed major holidays.
