This privately supported museum offers changing exhibits about American history and culture. It includes a library with archives for research and general public interest on historical events.
Open Monday-Saturday, 10am-4:45pm, Sunday noon-4:45. Closed January 1, Thanksgiving and December 24-25 and 31. During July and August, presentations are dramatized with costumed interpreters describing the life of 'mill girls' and immigrant work forces in a conceptual environment of capital, labor, and the operating requirements of mill machinery.
