The Havre de Grace Decoy Museum is located in the banks of the Susquehanna Flats. The Decoy Museum strives to communicate lectures, demonstrations, and a series of exhibits that range from single display cases to room-sized water fowling displays. It displays the works of 1200 decoys and decorative carvings by masters such as R. Madison Mitchell, Bob McGaw, and the Ward Brothers. The museum offers adult and student tours, free weekend carving demonstrations, adult carving classes, and evening lectures.
A Carvers' Workshop displays tools used in the painstaking process of carving and painting, as well as decoy models in various stages of preparatory work. The museum also offers tours, public lectures and demonstrations, and other special events throughout the year; call for a current schedule. Open daily, except major holidays.
